Can anyone do CrossFit?
- Yes, anyone can do CrossFit! Every movement and workout is scalable and can be adjusted to suit any fitness level, from beginners to advanced athletes, to people of all ages and fitness backgrounds.
What is The BrandX Method, and why does STARLING PERFORMANCE use their programming to do training with kids and teens?
- The Brand X Method™ is a specialized strength-and-conditioning program designed specifically for kids and teens, keeping them active in a fun way and supporting specialized sports activities
- The program focuses on motor pattern training and physical literacy to improve fitness, athleticism, and overall well-being, while also reducing the risk of injuries and combating childhood obesity.
- We use The Brand X Method™ because it provides a proven framework for training youth in any environment, and ensures that kids and teens develop the skills, confidence, and motivation needed for everyday movement and sport.

Do you offer a free trial or intro class?
- For those that have yet to begin their CrossFit journey, we offer a free 21-day program called the Golden21 that will help you to build a routine on our foundational movements. TRAINING
How old should my children start training with weights? Is that safe?
- Children can safely start training with weights around the age of 7 or 8 with proper supervision and guidance. Research shows that strength training, when done correctly, can be safe and beneficial for kids and improves their motor skills, increase bone density, and reduce the risk of injuries in sports.
- With kids we focus on technique, not heavy lifting, and ensure that they develop proper form and build a solid foundation for future strength gains.
Can people over 50 start training from scratch?
- Yes, our gym, services and facilities are well-equipped to support this. Exercises and intensity are adjusted to individual needs to ensure safety and effectiveness for adults.
- Our experienced coaches and programs focus on improving strength, mobility, and overall fitness while minimizing injury risk.
- We provide a welcoming environment where people of all ages, including those over 50, can start their fitness journey and achieve their personal goals.
What is the best way to get fit, at a CrossFit or a regular gym?

How do you ensure safety during workouts?
- Safety is our utmost priority. Our expert coaches are always on hand to give proper instruction and supervision, and all workouts can be scaled to match your fitness level and ability.

SERVICES
What types of classes do you offer?
- We offer a variety of classes, including standard CrossFit, strength and conditioning, endurance, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and mobility-focused sessions.
- We also run specialized classes for kids and youth, and pre- and post-natal women.
What is the typical class structure?
- A typical class lasts 60 minutes and includes a warm-up, skill or strength work, the WOD (Workout of the Day), and a cool-down.
What recovery options do you provide?
- Our unique Recovery Center, the first of its kind in Berlin, has a sauna and ice plunge to speed up recovery and reduce inflammation.
- We offer recovery tools such as foam rollers and mobility classes. There are also sports massage therapists, physiotherapists, and chiropractors
Do you offer personal training?
- Yes, we offer one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to your fitness goals. Each session is tailored to your unique goals, fitness level, and preferences with one of our certified trainers who will give you the highest level of coaching.
- Regular progress reviews will help you stay on track and adjust your training plan as needed, keeping you challenged and engaged.
NUTRITION
Do you offer nutrition plans?
- Yes, we do. We have an in-house nutritionist who can provide guidance on how to fuel your body for optimal performance and recovery, and ensure that you’re not just working out hard, but also eating in a way that supports your goals.
Do I need to pay extra for nutrition and recovery support?
- No, our holistic approach means these services are included in your membership. We believe that comprehensive support is essential to your success, so we’ve built everything into one package to make it easier for you to reach your goals without additional costs.
RESULTS AND PROGRESS
How do I track my progress?
- We provide members with access to a workout tracking app where you can log your workouts, monitor your progress, and set goals.
- After each class, you can easily log your workouts, including specific exercises, weights lifted, reps completed, and times achieved, so you have a clear history of your performance over time to give you a visual representation of your improvements.
How do you measure success in this program?
- Success is measured through sustainable progress and personal milestones, both inside and outside the gym. Every member has their own personal plan and regular check-ins to monitor physical improvements, nutritional habits, mental resilience, and overall life impact.
